My first experiment with fire and smoke simulation.
It drifted from the initially intended specs without my notice, becoming a real beast to complete. 500 million voxel explosion simulation done in Houdini. It took 30hrs of simulation with a cache size of 180gbs on top of 28hrs+ of render time for the explosion and an additional 13hrs+ for the shockwave. Lessons were learnt and I will know to pay more attention to my resolution settings in future.
